sounds about right to me.

as a city planner something you here alot is that people (in the us) don't want to raise kids in the city because it is more dangerous, so here are some other stats too:

the leading causes of death among teens are car accidents and suicide. rates of suicide are 148% higher in the suburbs then in the city. car accidents are 52% higher. Which, all in all makes a suburban kid 97% more likely to die then a city kid. Besides that, rates of drug use are also far higher in the suburbs.

Yeah, Zakcq, I can totally see that. It's so weird how perception can be not only different but completely OPPOSITE from reality sometimes. :)
